Distilled plant waters
Hydrosols
A hydrosol is the water that condenses during steam distillation, carrying a small amount of the plant's aromatic compounds. Ours are single-plant and unpreserved. Commonly used as a facial mist, hair rinse, linen or room spray, or in place of water in clay masks.

10 ml, steam distilled
Essential Oils
Steam-distilled from plants grown and harvested on São Miguel, then filled into 10 ml amber glass. Essential oils are highly concentrated: use them for diffusing, or diluted in a carrier oil or balm.

Jiaogulan Tea
Gynostemma pentaphyllum, a climbing vine from southern China and other parts of Asia where it has been brewed as a daily tea for centuries. Known in folk tradition as the 'immortality herb' and sometimes called 'immortalitea' for the long-lived communities associated with it, it is caffeine-free, mild and slightly sweet. We grow it on São Miguel, then cut and dry the leaves by hand.

Tallow Balms
Beef tallow from grass-fed cattle raised on the island, rendered, filtered and whipped into a simple balm for face, body and lips. Short ingredient lists, nothing else added beyond what is stated.

Activated Charcoal
Food-grade activated charcoal powder, sieved and packed by hand. Intended for the applications activated charcoal is commonly used for, such as cosmetic masks and odour absorption. Please follow appropriate usage guidance.
