Hydrosols, essential oils, dried herbs, Jiaogulan tea and tallow balms - grown, harvested and made by hand on São Miguel.

Most of what we bottle grows in our own garden. The rest grows around it, on the island. We cut it, distil or dry it, then fill and label what the harvest allows. Nothing more complicated than that.

Curated sets
Three sets put together from the products we keep in our own kitchen and bathroom. A simple way to start if you are not sure what to try first.

A simple botanical ritual, morning to evening
The set we reach for on an ordinary day on São Miguel. Tea grown in our own garden to open the morning, a floral water to mist over the afternoon, dried herbs for the kitchen and a small balm for hands that spend the day outside.

An island-inspired ritual for an active lifestyle
Put together around the way we live here - water, wind and long days outside. A rosemary floral water, a tallow balm blended with our own essential oil, eucalyptus oil for steam, dried thyme and a tin of Jiaogulan tea. Designed for moments of rest at the end of a full day.

A small piece of São Miguel, boxed
Our fullest collection, chosen to travel. Lavender essential oil and lavender floral water, Jiaogulan tea from the garden, a pouch of hand-dried basil, a sun balm and activated charcoal - presented together and sized to fit hand luggage.

Plants. Place. People.
São Miguel is volcanic ground, Atlantic weather and a lot of rain. Gardens run into pasture, pasture into forest, and the ocean is never far. Lavender, rosemary, thyme and sage grow well here, so those are the plants we work with.
Discover the AzoresHow it is made
There is no factory behind this. Three of us do the work, in quantities we can keep an eye on. When a batch runs out, we wait for the next harvest.
See how we workMost plants come from our own garden and raised beds.
Cut by hand, usually in the morning.
Steam distillation for hydrosols and oils; slow shade drying for herbs and tea.
Filled, capped, labelled and packed by us, batch by batch.
The people behind it
Bruno Hasulyo spent years racing stand-up paddleboards, which is a long lesson in discipline, recovery and doing the same small things consistently. Living on São Miguel turned his attention to the other side of that: gardens, plants and the pace of the island.
OG Life began there. Herbs from the garden, distilled at home, shared with friends and the athletes around us long before any of it was for sale.
